Introduction

CtrlFix respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond to valid notices of copyright infringement.

Filing a DMCA Notice

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide our Copyright Agent with the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and its location on our website
  • Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email address)
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized
  • A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate

Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification containing:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the material that was removed and its previous location
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake
  • Your contact information and consent to jurisdiction of federal court

Repeat Infringers

CtrlFix will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, users who are repeat infringers of copyrighted material.

Good Faith Requirement

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability. We recommend consulting with legal counsel before filing a DMCA notice.
